Steinberg & Associates is bought by Marsh McLennan.

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) has made the announcement that it will be acquiring Steinberg & Associates, Inc., an independent agency situated in Spartanburg, South Carolina. It was not made clear what the terms of the deal were.

Steinberg & Associates, which was founded in 1969, is a provider of employee health and benefits, estate planning, and private client services to individuals and medium enterprises in the states of South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia.

Following the completion of the acquisition, Hank Steinberg, president of Steinberg & Associates, and his whole team will become members of MMA.

John Stanchina, CEO of MMA’s Mid-Atlantic region, remarked that “Hank and his colleagues have established a client-focused organization that is committed to quality.” “With their assistance, we are able to provide a more individualized level of care to our customers throughout the region.”

MMA is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Marsh, and this deal is just the most recent in a series of acquisitions that the company has made. In June, MMA announced that it had acquired Clark Insurance, a leading independent insurance agency in Maine. In July, the company announced that it had acquired CS Insurance Strategies, a full-service insurance agency in Chicago.
